چکیده

Background: Garden pea (Pisum sativum L. var. hortense) belongs to family leguminosae is an important legume vegetable grown throughout the world during cool season. It self pollinated pulse crop with chromosome number 2n = 2x 14. Based on genetic diversity its primary centre of origin Mediterranean region. used as fresh and processed frozen in India abroad. good source vegetarian protein (6.8%-7.2%) which consumed green seed. The experiment was carried out estimate GCA effect parents SCA 28 hybrids for pod yield related traits using eight crossing programme. Methods: In this crosses made 2018-2019 diallel mating design (excluding reciprocal crosses) data investigated 2019-2020 at Vegetable Research Farm C.S. Azad University Agriculture Technolgy, Kanpur. Result: our investigation combining ability analysis revealed significant all characters. On basis gca AP1, KS111, KS282 were general combiners. x Kashi Nandani, KS280 AP3 specific combination per plant. Such could be further exploited obtain transgressive segregants future breeding

Genetic analysis on some yield traits of pea (Pisum sativum L.) crosses

Article info: Received: 30 April 2014 Accepted: 29 January 2015 ABSTRACT The trial was carried during 2011-2013 on the second experimental field of the Institute of Forage Crops – Pleven, Bulgaria. Eight generations (P1, P2, F1, F2, RC1 and each reciprocal generation) from a cross between the Shtambovii and Pleven 10 varieties were sown in this study. Five traits were evaluated: number of pods ...

Genetic control of floral zygomorphy in pea (Pisum sativum L.).

Floral zygomorphy (flowers with bilateral symmetry) has multiple origins and typically manifests two kinds of asymmetries, dorsoventral (DV) and organ internal (IN) asymmetries in floral and organ planes, respectively, revealing the underlying key regulators in plant genomes that generate and superimpose various mechanisms to build up complexity and different floral forms during plant developme...

Role of nitrogen content of pea (Pisum sativum L.) on pea aphid (Acyrthosiphon pisum Harris) establishment

The leaf nitrogen content is generally accepted as an indicator of food quality and as a factor affecting host selection by phytophagous insects. The alate pea aphids (Acyrthosiphon pisum Harris, Aphididae) were given a choice among non-nodulated pea plants (Pisum sativum L.) supplied with one of four nitrate-N levels (0, 3, 15 and 30 mM). When whole plants were exposed to aphids for 7 days, th...

The Yield and Yield Components of Pea (pisum Sativum L.) as Influenced by Salicylic Acid

The effects of 0 M, 10 M and 10 M salicylic acid (SA) applied by three different modes (seed treatment, seed treatment plus foliar spray and foliar spray) in four pea (Pisum sativum L.) varieties viz., Meteor, Climax, Greenfeast and Rondo were evaluated. Among the varieties the highest green pod yield of 5255 Kg ha was obtained in variety Meteor followed by variety Greenfeast (4452 Kg ha). The ...
